A personal assistant that reads your mail so you do not have to read all of it.

Sam is a private assistant for one person. It connects to the Google accounts you choose, watches for the things worth your attention, and answers in the places you already are — a browser tab, a Slack message, WhatsApp.

It is not a product with users. It is one owner’s assistant, running on their own infrastructure, reachable only by them.

Reads the inboxes you connect

Summarises what arrived overnight, finds the thread you half-remember, and flags the message that has been waiting on a reply for four days. Several accounts at once, each labelled, each with its own permissions.

Knows what your week looks like

Merges the calendars you connect, so a morning brief covers work and personal without you having to ask twice.

Runs without being asked

Routines are standing instructions on a schedule — a brief at eight, a finance digest on Sunday, a watcher that stays silent until something genuinely needs you.

Asks before it acts

Anything that spends money, sends a message or writes outside its own workspace stops and asks first. Reading is free; acting is not.

What it accesses, and why

Sam asks for access to Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive on the accounts its owner connects — one account at a time, with the permissions chosen per account. It uses that access to summarise, search and draft on the owner’s behalf, and for nothing else.
